In 2021, Somerset House hosted a thrilling new open-air experience, welcoming the public back after a long break due to COVID-19.
As part of the work, Nick Ryan Studio and the Mercury Award-shortlisted musician Anna Meredith created an interactive, musical composition for the dodgem ride in the courtyard. Generated by the moves and bumps of the dodgem riders in each session, endless versions of the interactive score were created across its installation.
